Pickle Party: Brining the Summer Harvest

Calling all pickle lovers! Join UMaine Cooperative Extension staff and trained Master Food Preserver volunteers for a happy hour brimming with brine. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the basics of safe home canning while making and taking home two different kinds of pickles—crafted with fresh, locally grown Maine produce.

Plus, sip on a drink from the Maine Tasting Center bar (included with the cost of your ticket) and enjoy a pickle tasting, featuring a crisp and tangy lineup of preserved goodies from Maine farmers and value-added producers across the state.

Whether you're new to preserving or just really love a good pickle, this party is for you!

Bring your favorite apron if you'd like! All other equipment, ingredients and recipes will be provided.
