Making Jerky with Maine Meats
Safe techniques and plenty of Maine flavor—that’s what you’ll get in this class with Maine Food and Beverage Education Center and University of Maine Cooperative Extension. Lean the best methods for creating delicious jerky from wild game meat while ensuring food safety. Enjoy demonstrations and a variety of samples. All meats showcased in this program are sourced from local Maine farmers that are raising species normally thought of as wild game—deer, rabbit, and duck. Whether you are an avid hunter or supporter of local farms, this program offers valuable knowledge and wouthwatering flavors.
