An evening of feasting, shopping and learning with Maine’s Asian food producers

Curious about Maine’s Asian food scene? Missing cultural foods from home that you haven't been able to in Maine? Just itching to try something new? Whatever the case, this special event is for you! Join us on August 31st for our first ever Night Market, featuring Asian food producers from across the state.

 

Stop by for an exciting tour of flavors from across the globe: sample delicious Asian treats, stock up on high quality Asian products made right here in Maine, and meet with the vibrant community of Mainers whose talents make events like this possible!

This event is FREE to attend and tickets are not required! Stroll through our campus and learn more about the Asian food and drink products our local artisans are crafting, enjoy cooking demonstrations, immerse yourself in Maine’s diverse Asian community, and of course, feast on lots of delicious local Asian cuisine!

EVENT LOGISTICS

 

PARKING & Accessibility

Onsite parking is free! Please note that parking is limited - if possible, please carpool with other members of your group to the Night Market! If the parking lot fills up, overflow parking will be available on the lawn and in the adjacent field - please keep an eye out for the staff member directing parking if you have questions!

All spaces used for the Night Market event are ADA compliant. Paved paths exist between buildings and buildings with stairs also have ramp access. 

Event Map for Maine Night Market. Vendors in Discovery Center building, Cafe in Tasting Room, Demonstrations in Learning Center. Each building has at least one restroom. Overflow parking is in the adjacent field and on the front lawn.

DEMONSTRATIONS

At 5:30 PM, join Jeff Mao of Knead & Nosh in the Learning Center for a Chinese Hot Pot demonstration/mini-lesson. Jeff quite literally wrote the book on Chinese Hot Pot - what better instructor to learn from?

Demonstrations are free of charge and seats are available on a first-come first-served basis.
