Homestyle Indian Cooking Journey: Goat Curry
October 2, 2025

Our upcoming session on goat curry shines a spotlight on one of India’s most beloved meats - goat - often referred to as “mutton” in South Asian cooking. While not as common in the United States, goat is an important and widely enjoyed protein across much of the world, known for being leaner and higher in protein than lamb, with a mild, slightly sweet flavor that pairs beautifully with bold spices like cardamom, coriander, and cloves.

In this session, instructor San Rudra will explore the techniques behind preparing an authentic goat curry, showcasing how Indian cuisine elevates this versatile meat into something truly unforgettable. Best of all, we’re able to connect the global story back home by highlighting Abraham’s Goat Farm and Dairy, an amazing small family farm right here in Maine that supplies top-quality goat meat for consumers across the state.
